life was never a bed of roses

had sucha a packed week in the past week. mainly because of my bday celebrations, the last couple of days w my darling before he enlists etc etc.

i blogged the previous time about spooktacular without photos because i dint receive them but even now when i've received i'm lazy to blog with them. so to cut things short and to fulfil my laziness for blogging without proper pics..... Tuesday was work again and afterthat celebration w @allsmilesfchh, @TanShiGeng and @Jervthecutest. Havent met @jervthecutest in the longest timing.but still nice to see that he's doing good:) We had dinner at The Caffe Bar @parkway. After deciding for like 45mins i chose this dish below. some black pepper chicken thingy. Everything else was either too expensive or just not appealing.

Although the main dishes were not appealing to us, the desserts were very very appetizing. and in the end @allsmilesfchh and i couldn't control and ordered a chocolate souffle. yumzzzzzzz. always watching those masterchefs on masterchef cooking desserts as such whets up a huge appetite and i finally tried this souffle, rly good stuff and it's not even that sweet ^.^ &i hateeeeeeeee extremely sweet stuff. this was acty pretty good :>

 

Thursday after work headed down w @er_mander, @ca12o_lYn and @WeeHongRui to Halloween Horrors! i took a minimal amount of photos thr and the lighting was like shit so i'm not gonna upload it but stealing this photo from stomp instead!

WTF max at the second photo w the hands. that was the one at dungeon of damnation. We first went to the insanitariam which according to info i got beforehand was SUPPOSEDLY the scariest. i went in and screamed like 3-4 times, doused w water once, dragged baby forward because he was lagging behind etc etc. & when i exited i felt like wow... i survived. BUT that was nothing in comparison to dungeon of damnation.

Dungeon of damnation had like a series of nonstop scary factors, one of which was that alley of hands we had to walk through and risk getting touched (thankfully i was small in size so OMAIGAWD i dint get into contact w any one of them) Although i dint scream a single time at this trail, i think i was freaked so badly that i couldnt even scream out. OH OH OH BABY SCREAMED AT THIS TRAIL HAHAHAHHA. okay not screamed, shouted. when i heard him scream i almost wanted to burst out laughing LOL. because he was not frightened at any trails etc that we've been to and this one he was genuinely scared cos this big cloaked guy jumped out of nowhere w some mega loud HD growling voice. he shouted and grabbed me damn suddenly i couldn't help but laugh hahahahhha.

the last trail i refused to go because dungeon of damnation rly shook me up. but from news i heard it was the least scary w the shortest queue. 

anyway, i'm definitely going for halloween next year again. Spooktacular was nothing in comparison to Halloween Horrors lol.

what a girl wants

here comes my post of the week lol.

i remember posting that i wanted to catch perks of being a wallflower &immediately after posting i headed out for advanced celebration of our eleventh month w my baby boy :) [because i sadly have 6hours of school on mondays, plus visiting of grandma made us unable to celebrate the actual day] rly wanted to try wild honey for dinner but after seeing the prices i freaked and said no way, unless we were feeling especially rich. in the end went for Seoul Garden Hotpot. &that explains the picture above. Had Mandu hotpot. but trust me, the photo did waaaaaay too much justice to the dish. the meal was actually one of the most horrid korean dishes i've ever tasted....

Anyway afterthat we caught perks of being a wallflower, and if youre not a literature-ish person you probably wouldn't enjoy it alot? but emma watson is still so prettayeeeeeeeeee.

Tuesday after work baby had to go for his tie da stuff to fix his back. so afterthat we went to fish &co's for dinner!

I like the first photo mainly cos our couple necklaces are so distinct here heee. pretty ambigram necklace that states hongrui from one side, and audrey on the other :> my first month gift to him and we've made it a point to make sure we wear it everyday unless circumstances cropped up.

Had danish fish&chips but i think their fish is rly too nua liao. don't rly like fish&co. but i went thr mainly cos i was craving for mushroom soup alike stuff due to the cramps zz.

And the above picture was completely out of boredom at work rly LOL. cymera app fiddling and thn i came up w that. i should have used the time to study but when i'm at office the mood doesn't rly come up unless i stuff my ears w the earpiece so yea. but rly gotta start making full use of time.

like my hair here though hehehe. looks so straight flowing and luscious. Honestly, my hair's the thing which i have most confidence about... -.- pathetic eh lol. but rly, i think my hair's the thing which has received the most compliements. in fact dear boy started noticing me for my hair LOL. but everything else just came along la. hahahahahaha.

Friday morning we decided to go down to Hatched for brekkie!! because it was a cheaper altenative in comparison to wild honey's lol. Had this friday stayover hatched or something, can't recall the exact name but doesn't it look so awesome!! it's rly just toast w bacon egg and bananas. LOADS of bananas lol until a point of time i got a little grossed out by the constant bananas in my breakfast.

Afterthat went for lessons, and after lessons went w dear darling to get our USS tix for halloween!!! ^.^

the Sentosa Spooktacular tix were gotten by Yanni, 10 tix in total:) it was my third time going for halloween alike stuff, even though i was from the fright night crew in src.......... hahahahhaha phail much. &yes i'm damn scared of these real-life acting ghosts i freaked out like mad last yr when i went w @weehongrui, @er_mander and @ca12o_lYn. i wasn't even together w baby when we went but i rly freaked i instinctively grabbed whoever's arm was available and it happened to be his hehee ooops.

Yup so went down to Spooktacular w library gang ytd! :) They advance celebrated my bday at Thai Express and baked brownie/cake stuff for me hehehehe xiexie!! i dint take photos though cos it's all w Yanni etc. They also paid for my Spooktacular tix.

And we completed all 5 trails for Spooktacular!! &i'm so much braver this year :B Probably because i could grab on to dear as much as i needed and prolly because i was more accustomed to the ghosts etc due to last year's experience! Completely exhausted by the time we completed all 5 though, and reached home at 2am geezz.

Will be heading down to USS halloween this upcoming Thursday after work w @weehongrui, @er_mander and @ca12o_lYn. And i heard it's damn scary in comparison to Spooktacular's so i'm hoping my 2years experience w Spooktacular and Fright Night 2011 is gonna be helpful. hehehe.

the perks of being a wallflower

What happened ytd was that i planned to stay home &thn visit grandma at night but because of the quota of thr being only 4 visitors at any one point of time + the fact that my family is a pretty large one...... the kids are put on hold for visiting during weekdays after work/school. which is why the last time i visited her was friday night after lessons ended at 630. sigh rly hoping she's gonna get better.

and since i was denied the opportunity for visiting, my original plans for dinner etc came into action. had dinner at Werner's! @Siglap together w dear boy &his cousins again. Expensive stuff, and honestly not v awesome at all. it was like 21.40 excluding gst for some grilled dory fillet &it wasn't even that fantastic........ owells.

Ordered blueberry cheesecake ^^ i love blueberry toppings for tarts/cakes etc. Same goes for dear boy as well. but cos i wanted the blueberry he ordered something else instead ~.~ It's pretty good cheesecake, but expensive stuff as well. 7.50 for that slice excluding gst. &they even have a rule of minimum one item per pax that needs to be ordered if we were to sit in the restaurant to savour their cakes. An indulgence once in awhile i suppose.

btw one show which i rly wanna watch right now... this!

The Perks of being a Wallflower! mostly because emma watson is acting in it thats why i wanna watch, she was so amazing as Hermione 8) my love for harry potter was equivalent or even more ridiculous in comparison to how much i'm loving snsd now. so yes i'm definitely gonna be watching this :)

another week w only one day of work passed. and so w one day of work the above two photos are up ^^ thr was large koi brought back to the office for most of us, and i finally managed to satisfy my craving for so long! 

&the second photo is a new korean app (cymera) that i downloaded out of curiousity and its acty pretty cool!! i can put makeup/ enlarge my eyes/ widen my smile etc. no wonder korea's the country people'd wanna go for plastic hahaha.

oh& after my earpiece spoilt for the second time, it outgrew the one-year warranty it was given so went down to Jayben's to trade in and top up for a new one. The gift from library gang last year has served me well ~.~

Thursday, headed down to legoland early in the morning! the coach we were supposed to take was scheduled to leave at 9am, but cos we reached early we boarded the 830 one instead! Most photos were taken w Subo's dslr so all i have is that photo above.

Honestly, Legoland rides are not all that fantastic if you love rollercoasters. But the things they made out of lego was really really cool. like it's actually damn amazing how people can put that together even with the help of a computer software. One thing about legoland is that it has alot of those kinda kiddy stalls where you play games to win prices, and all their prices are soft toys! &most of them are actually pretty cute. For e.g the angry bird above!! i really wanted to win one mega-large soft toy but dint manage to in the end:( At least i had fun!

Probably because we woke too early or whatever but by 3pm or so i was really totally exhausted &so were the rest. Btw, the people i went w was baby's poly clique! a v fun bunch of people. went out w them a couple of times already so i was acty v comfortable around them, &had loads of fun+laughter :D thanks to mel for getting us all the tix :>

After we reached back to SG we actually wanted to have dinner at old airport road but the stupid place was closed for washing T-T so we ended up at Hot Tomato's @Nex. Steak was for my dinner :) Pretty awesome stuff.

Grandma's hospitalised so now i'm just hoping she'll get better. She's lived for 94 years now and i'm hoping she'll grow till 100 &if possible watch my sis&i get married etc. /keeping my fingers crossed.

Too long i've not been on this space, due to work school & going out etc. Its odd how i'm slowly getting back my blogging instincts. I usually give up since i've been on a hiatus for too long. Anyway pix above taken at dinner last sunday, exactly a week ago yes. Honestly, how do we even look like we're related hahahha. Don't see a slight inkling sense of similarity in our looks at all. But still, my best and most amazing sister :) <3 p="p">

Anyway, as i've mentioned previously ; yes i've officially started work at baby boy's office. Probably cos i've only just started the workload is acty pretty manageable. And i'm always sitting at my office waiting &hoping dear boy might come back halfway from his installations outdoors. &when he does suddenly pop in, heheheh  ^.^

The mum introduces him as " 这是我们最年轻,还有最ham (handsome)的installer. " hahhahahaha

Yes, thr were certain points of time i acty got so bored because due to some reasons no work was assigned & i started fiddling w instagram/ my hair/ &whatnots. OH, &the worst thing about the workplace. connection is equivalent to zilch. I take 10mins?? to load a page of instagram using my phone... &not all the photos can be seen -.-

Anyway as most of you should know, TAKEN 2 IS OUT. i have been waiting for this for so long. &liam neeson is still as awesome as ever. Though i thought the first movie was better, taken 2 was still awesome. Caught it ytd at tamp before we had a dinner at harbourfront! oh andddddddddddd yaaaaa i do have alot of sound effects when i watch movies ~.~ makes the movie more interest what. so too bad to those that sit around me hahhahahha.
